Hannah Merkel, FNP-C
Hannah is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping people feel their best and live life to the fullest. She began her nursing career after graduating from the University of Alabama and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Brenau University in 2022. She spent the early part of her career working at Children’s Hospital in Atlanta for 7 years, where she developed a strong foundation in compassionate, patient-centered care. She recently moved to Austin, Texas, and is excited to bring her experience and energy to this incredible city.
She enjoys getting to know her new home by exploring everything Austin has to offer—from the local food scene to outdoor activities. She also loves to travel and takes every chance she gets to experience new places. Building strong relationships with her patients is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does, and she is committed to supporting each person’s unique journey to better health.

Valerie Shellenberger, PA-C
Valerie a board-certified Physician Assistant with a background in public health and a strong passion for patient-centered care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Texas A&M University and went on to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.
Throughout her training, Valerie discovered how much she values building real connections with her patients and making sure they feel heard, supported, and cared for. She believes in a compassionate approach to healthcare that puts patients and their unique needs first.
Originally from the Austin area, Valerie is excited to be back in her hometown and serving the community she grew up in. When she’s not seeing patients, you can find her outdoors, swimming, going for walks, checking out local thrift stores, or spending time with her friends and family.
